Good all-purpose boot -
My feet are very hard to fit and I actually find these very comfortable. I give them 4 stars all around because I don't love the fold-over fleece bit and wish the laces went up a little higher. They also don't have as much arch support as I would like. However, they have taken very little time to wear in and they look great with my pants down over the top. I really like the detail on the toe. The main thing, though, is that I have problems with shoes making the soles of my feet hurt, and that I don't have with these, even though there is a low heel. I have the wide version.

Lassen's Bevelia... Coulda Been A Contender -
Pros: They appear to be stiff leather, but are actually soft; little or no break in time, toe box is very roomy, good height. Moderate arch support. Cons: Could use more cushioning under the ball of my foot. Great cushion under the heel so I can't figure out why they stopped there, leather quality is not so great, my feet felt warm after a few hours wear in the house, not the right look for me once I had them on. I can see these shoes molding to your feet after a while and fitting like a glove, but after many surgeries, my feet have become hyper sensitive and I really do need more cushioning. Thankfully, Zappos makes it easy to buy and try. The speed of delivery and the ease of return makes Zappos the only place I shop for shoes.
