Good shoe, but not great.
I like this shoe, but it could be better. Everything is good, except where the shoe strikes the ankle. My foot sets deep in this shoe, and my ankles hit the edges. For this kind of money, there should be a tubular edge and a dip in the edge right where the ankle is. Look closely and you will see a hard edge there, and the shoe is straight cut. My ankles come down on it. It doesn't hurt, but isn't really comfortable, and eventually there will be a dent worn there, but it isn't right. I will keep these shoes, but take them to the cobbler and have him make the change. The Rockports that I replaced have this feature; unfortunately, Rockport stopped making this type of shoe.

Great shoe all around!!!
Have owned at least 10 different pairs of shoes of this type and nothing else has even come close to the fit and comfort of this shoe. Well worth the money and your service is superb. Ordered them at 1PM one day and received them less than 24 hours later. Doesn't get any better!

The photo doesn't do them justice -
My husband needed a new pair of docksiders, and wanted something substantial as well as good-looking. Although these seemed a bit pricey for a pair of Sperrys, I liked the dark leather and sneaker sole.
These arrived a day after ordering (thanks to Zappos exceptional service) and were better than expected. Even the packaging was luxury. The shoes themselves are a gorgeous chocolate leather, and the eyelets are 18K gold plated. Very sharp, but not flashy. Just a quality shoe.
My husband loves wearing them, and they look spectacular. Never thought I'd be saying this about a boat shoe. Thank you, Zappos!
