Excellent Work/Airport Shoe!
As a pilot, I'm always looking for a professional, comfortable, yet airport security friendly shoe. This is, BY FAR, the best shoe I've had for work in 15 years. Initial break in period was typically uncomfortable (5-7 days felt tight and almost too small...do not by a size larger though!), but now it's the best fitting shoe I've ever had. The leather is excellent and doesn't crack or wear like other dress shoes. I've been wearing my shoes since July (it's now Nov) and can't say enough. Buy Buy BUY!

Nice shoe at first. I reviewed this shoe earlier, Keith F from Texas. Here it is a mere 6 weeks after. The tread is almost gone, and the shoe is actually falling apart. Some of the ridge that goes around the bottom of the shoe has broken and fallen off. The shoe no longer looks professional. Don’t bother with this one, it is not a quality product.

Excellent shoes, look great too. Only caveat: they take a couple of days to break in, so don't plan on wearing them 12 hours a day and walking around Paris when you get them out of the box. But that's just common sense, anyway.

Lace up version more comfortable -
The front of the shoe cuts into the top of your foot. The lace up version is much more comfortable going to return and get another pair of the lace ups. Rockports are the most comfortable shoes and Zappos service is great!!!

My thoughts -
The shoes look great ... at first. After only 2 weeks of use, the flex area between the toes and the tongue are heavily creased. The anti slip is just barely there. They get the job done, but for this much money and the reputation of Rockport, I expected more.

You get what you pay for -
After years of searching, I finally found the perfect work shoe. Unfortunately, Red Wings doesn't make them anymore. I bought these to start my search again. They are made from amazingly stiff leather. With the first hour or two, they grew and excavated a giant blister on my Achilles area of one foot. They are so tight at the top that my other foot starts to tingle when I sit the wrong way. Oddly enough, there's almost too much room in the toes. These will be my first and last Rockports.

Dress them up, dress them down. We got these for our son for his formal band performances. He has also worn them to attend semi-casual events. These are great-looking shoes, and he, of course, appreciates the comfort and agility they allow an active person. They are well-made and tough-wearing.

The whole experience was great. I was worried about ordering shoes on line, but the shoes fit perfectly, and they look great. The order came in no time flat.

Great shoes, comfortable right out of the box, I have a high instep so I'm hard to fit and had to try the same shoe in 3 different sizes. Service was fast and friendly.

GREAT work and casual shoe.
The most comfortable shoe right out of the box, the more I wear them the more I love them. I not only wear them to work but also on weekends with jeans. I signed on tonight to buy two more pair - feels like this shoe was made just for me...did I mention I love these shoes? Not to mention Zappos outstanding service, quite a winning combination.

Inexpensive but not Low Quality -
I was surprised at the high level of comfort and quality for such a reasonably priced shoe. You can wear it right out of the box! The cushioning for both the sole and heel are excellent. This is a shoe meant for walking and being on your feet. I look forward to wearing the Rockports even on weekends as they are very comfortable. The look is great with jeans, Dockers and suits. It has a bit higher profile than a dress shoe like a Bally. But now you have a bit more variety for the closet. It fits well with socks of medium thickness which is unusual for a shoe of a slip-on design. The sizing is about perfect. Not a bad deal considering the modern looks and comfort!

These shoes needed to be worn for a few weeks before they really felt comfortable. After that they were great. Great casual shoe that can be worn anywhere.
