The Timberland story begins in 1952, when Nathan Swartz buys part of the Abington Shoe Company. He learns how to make shoes, and starts working on ways to make them better. Timberland history was in the making in 1965 when the Swartz family introduced injection molding to the footwear industry and the first truly waterproof Timberland® leather footwear is born.
The Timberland mission is to equip men, women, and kids to make a difference in their world. Timberland does this by creating outstanding shoes, clothes, watches, and other accessories and by trying to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
Timberland is a big company made up of a lot of small parts and incredibly talented people. They make boots, shoes, clothes, watches, and various gear that are comfortable enough to wear all day and rugged enough for all year. The people at Timberland don't rest on their accomplishments. If they did, they’d have only made one waterproof leather boot.

Silver UGGS Rock!!!!
So I realize not everyone is going to wear silver metallic UGGS and feel comfortable walking around, but they had my name all over them and I get stopped ALL OVER by people telling me how cute they are "ON ME"! So one needs a little bolder personality to pull the look off...but if you can, DO IT... I'm 57 and my husband tells me I look like an adorable ROCK STAR with my Silver UGGS!!!!!

i love Timberlands and this shoe proves no exception. the tread is very good, provides good traction and the shoe is extremely comfortable. i bought two pair, one in black, on a whim and was pleasantly surprised.

Great Boot -
This is the 1st "tough" boot I've worn that feels like a dance shoe. It's really comfortable and definitely sexy. It truly is water resistant, so it is a winter boot that can be worn indoors. They take awhile to get on and off, but it's worth it!

This is as close as your going to get to the "Timberland Smartwool Power Lounger Casual Mid" which is pretty much obsolete. This sits a little higher above the ankle but not in a bad way. I like this style of Smartwool Timberland and hope they keep making them. Thanks Zappos for upgrading to next day.

Timberlands are well known for quality and this cute winter boot for women is nothing different. I was looking to buy UGG's til I noticed how expensive they are. This boot is great! Comfortable, warm, style & comfort all in one. It is true to size and goes up to your shin and it’s a little roomy from ankle to shin so you can put it over your jeans or some thick socks...

I love the look of these boots so much, but Zappos did not have my size so I ordered 1 size down-big mistake!! They are true to size, thus they did not fit me. I really loved the look when I got them-looked great w/ skinny jeans. I wish they would have fit!!!

Christmas Present to my Son -
My son moved from Las Vegas to Grand Junction, CO. late August. I couldn't get a hold of him only to find out he was in the hospital really sick due to his lack of cold weather gear. Asked him what he needed the most and he said waterproof work boots. I ordered him a pair and he had them on his feet in 2 days and absolutely loved them. He said his feet are dry, warm, and totally comfortable. Best work boots he's ever had. Chalk up one for Santa!

Well Worth the Money -
I purchased a pair of these Chukkas over the telephone from Zappos. I did so only because I was concerned with getting the correct size. The sales associate I spoke with was friendly and guided me through the purchase. Normally wear a size 10 1/2 shoe. However, these run about a half size big, so I settled on the 10 knowing I could return the boots if the size was wrong. The boots fit great. The only drawback is I wish I had gotten the darker color, but these will darken over time. I know I will enjoy these for years.

Great, comfortable boot -
I purchased this boot to be for both working doing outdoor construction work from time to time with my fiancé and also for my wearing in snowy weather here in New England. It has proven to be a very comfortable boot and provides the amount of room needed to wear an extra pair of socks if needed in the winter snow.

Nice boots -
My size was out of stock, so I ordered a pair that is half size larger. And they are actually wider than they looked in the picture, so that gives me more space to wear those soft thick socks to add warmth. The boots serve very good support for arch, but the upper surface might be a little bit low. Generally, they're pretty good boots. Good enough for keeping me warm and dry in winter snow.

A necessary purchase -
I love my boots. Needed to buy them to go to a tank range for my job. I sprayed them with silicone protectant. It was cold and the ground very muddy/craggy. The boots kept my feet warm, were perfect for the terrain, and cleaned up well.

Waterproof, but bulky -
I bought these boots to wear on a December trip to Michigan. They kept my feet warm and dry, but they feel quite bulky and heavy when wearing them. I have owned previous pairs of Timberland hiking boots and not had the problem with bulkiness...I wear a 6.5 and my feet feel huge when I'm walking around in the Chocorua Trail boot. I'm going to keep them for future winter trips, but will probably buy a different boot for hiking.
